From the Marine Life Collection – The Grace of Carnation Corals
This ethereal piece from our Marine Life Collection reveals the delicate beauty of the Carnation Coral (Dendronephthya), a soft coral species found from the Red Sea to the Western Pacific.
With their translucent stems and blossoms of vivid pinks and oranges, these corals grow up to 70 centimeters, gracing the underwater landscape like floral sculptures suspended in the currents. Dwelling around the 30° North latitude, they thrive on sheer rock faces and reefs, where their soft polyps sway gently with the tides.
Each coral is a living tapestry of thousands of polyps, creating a mesmerizing dance of color and movement beneath the waves a silent reminder of the fragility and poetry that defines the underwater world.
